Wow what a competition! It was an exciting 4 weeks of tennis for everyone and we really hope that all of you who played and took part really enjoyed it. It was the first time that the competition has been run here at the R0y Emerson Tennis Centre and it was a huge success. Thank you to all of you for making it so great.
The final night saw some beers, snags, banter and tough competition as 5 courts battled it out for one last time to see who could snatch the title. King Victor was the target and has been since week 1. With a target on his back, his night wasn’t going to be easy. The beers weren’t enough and Victor knew that.
We enjoyed some great long rallies, tough battles and racquet abuse on the day but the real winner of the day was the cold crisp beers waiting for all of our comeptitirs during the matches. What a great atmosphere of tennis.
We have done the final scores and the results are in. With some players only attending 2 of the weeks they would not fully qualify for the bonus points as some of the others who came to 3 or more. Our winners are:
Winner: Victor Vicaro
Runner Up: Sebastien Vanderhoke
Congratulations to Victor and Sebastien. You guys can come along and collect your prizes when ready. Thanks again to all of you who played. If you are interested in more competitions like this then you should try out the superleague competition that takes place on weeknights.
See you all around the club!

We are nearly at an end with the Summer League competition for 2017! Week 3 results are in and we have had some very close matches causing a large amount of shifting through the leaderboard. We still have our king Victor Vicaro reigning supreme but Julian Dodos is hot on his heels, behind by only 0.5 points!
Don’t forget players, next week is our last week with a start time of 7.30pm. We will have a small presentation to the winner and a BBQ for all involved. The last round is still open to anyone who wants to come along and play. See you all next Tuesday at 7.30pm!

With week 2 of the summer league done and dusted there has been some serious movement across the leader-board. With new players coming along and joining the competition, week 2 saw some upsets, surprises and great matches. The current standings are shown below. Please remember that you have to play a minimum of 2 weeks to be eligible to win the competition. We’ve got Ryan coming in to knock Victor off the top this week, however Ryan still needs to play one more week in order to be eligible. At this stage, Victor is still king!
2 weeks gone and 2 weeks left we have reached the halfway mark of our competition. Who will rise to the top and claim the prize? With two weeks of play left it is still anybody’s game at the moment. The last matches on January 24th will be slightly different with a BBQ, prizes and a 7.30pm start time.
Well done to everyone and we will see you guys back on Tuesday 17 January for round 3!

With the results calculated and posted below we have Victor and Julian currently leading the competition on 113 points each. Remember, the competition takes into account games won, games lost, sets won and sets lost. Along with bonus points for these also. So fight for very game!
With new players coming along for round 2, who will be at the top next week? Only time will tell. See you all on Tuesday 10 Jan for round 2!!!!!
