CLINIC FAQ’S
Enrolment.
All participants are required to complete an online enrolment form before the start of the clinic. This is done for safety and insurance purposes – if we have not received a complete enrolment form and payment then you are not permitted to take part in the clinic.
Club Membership.
All clinic participants must be a member of TennisGear. The membership is a one-off cost of $24 (usually $39) and can be paid when you enrol online. Membership entitles you to discounts in our pro shops, a Queensland Tennis membership, on-court insurance in case of accidental injury, and membership discounts on court hire and any other coaching programs.
Payment.
Payments must be made upon enrolling your child.
What do I bring?
Comfortable enclosed sports shoes, a hat, a water bottle, and a racquet. Please bring a lunch box with enough food to get your child through a busy day of tennis. We have a water fountain at each centre.
Sun Screen?
Please ensure your child has had sunscreen applied before the start of their clinic day. Coaches will remind players to re-apply their sunscreen during the day.
What happens if it is raining?
We will do everything possible to run our clinic as scheduled, however, on rare occasions, the weather may force us to cancel. The decision to cancel the clinic day will generally not be made until immediately prior to the scheduled commencement time.
If the clinic has already started or it starts to rain during the day our coaches will provide inside and undercover activities until it is safe to go back on the court.
Can I make up a wet weather day?
Yes. If a day has to be cancelled due to weather, you can make up that day on any other clinic day. Please let our staff know when you would like to make up your day so we can enrol your child correctly.
Additional days.
You are able to book any additional days at any time. Please click the link below.
Class sizes and ratios.
Your child will be placed into a group depending on their age and ability. These groups generally have a player to coach ratio of 1-7 in the mornings for skills and technical development, and 1-10 in the afternoon for their match play.
TennisGear Cancellation Policy
“TennisGear requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel a holiday clinic booking. In the first instance, a credit will be offered to attend another clinic day on a day that suits the customer. Alternatively, a credit can be held for future clinics. If less notice is given, unfortunately, no credit is available.”
